Fauci funded Covid-19 at Wuhan and lied about everything after. The Covid Vaxes hurt and killed people. Masks don’t work. Six feet separation was totally made up. Lock downs and shutting down America except for Walmart, alcohol and marijuana was wrong. Shutting down Churches was unconstitutional. JFK was murdered by the CIA. There were three shooters active when Trump was shot in the ear. Trump was set up to be shot by those who were supposed to protect him. Biden was not running the country Obama was. The Plandemic movies are true.
We know what happened with Fauci. There was a company called EcoHeath Alliance run by Peter Daszak, a zoologist and virologist, that was running gain of function research at the Wuhan laboratory under the direction of Fauci and the NIH.
When a subsequent safety review found major flaws in the lab’s biosecurity protocols, lax practices and vulnerabilities due to staffing shortages, the NIH and EcoHealth were ordered to shut down the gain of function research.
They did not shut it down. Instead, they played a semantic game and called it something else, which is an issue that came up in a congressional hearing a few years ago. There was no meaningful difference aside from the name and half-measures, but they continued in violation of their orders.
When COVID spread and virologists from the US and the UK got their first look at it, they concluded there was strong evidence that it was leaked from a lab. Several virologists said there was clear evidence of artificial properties from gain of function research. But Fauci claimed if that information went public it would destroy trust in scientific institutions, and insisted no one from that inner circle speak of it.
The rest of it — the claim that masks don’t work and the six foot separation distance was made up — is not true. N95 masks did filter the virus particles, and you have to remember that in the early days there was a lot of guesswork and we weren’t even sure if the virus was spreading by respiratory infection or fomites, which are virus particles on physical surfaces.
The problem was that there was widespread confusion, the message got muddled, and worst of all, it was politicized. So we had people who knew absolutely nothing about viruses or pubic health becoming “influencers” and making unfounded claims, which is why people began buying “Miracle Mineral Water” made of diluted industrial bleach, and taking drugs like Ivermectin. The studies about Ivermectin were widely misrepresented: Ivermectin itself can impede the virus, but not in humans because the amount required would be more than we can safely ingest.
All this information is out there for anyone who takes the time to really seek out impartial sources. The “plandemic,” “pure blood” and other stuff is exactly what I meant about politicizing a virus response. The people pushing that stuff were wannabe influencers who had financial incentives and had no expertise.
So as always, the truth is somewhere in the middle. A lot of mistakes were made, a lot of bad information was widely distributed, and the government under Biden made a massive mistake in trying to censor and deplatform people instead of finding a better way to cut through the misinformation.
And finally, regarding the influencers and the widespread idea that people should “do their research,” you really do need to be an expert in virology or immunology to have a hope of understanding the research. I’ve read several of the major peer-reviewed papers, and they are impossible to parse without a proper education in those subjects. The rest of us have no real hope of understanding them, which is why it’s important to have experts and leaders with unimpeachable reputations, who understand trust is an essential currency.

The holes in N95 masks are three times the diameter of the Covid-19 virus. Ivermectin was proven to work in the early stages of Covid-19 infection, particularly the first week. Studies “proving” Ivermectin did not work gave Ivermectin too late. Doses needed were not harmful given in the first week. Six feet of separation was not based on any scientific proof. At first Fauci was going to make it three feet, then changed his mind to six feet. The correct response was given by doctors: allow herd immunity, protect vulnerable elderly, no staying only in your home. These doctors were silenced by the internet and discredited, and many lost their jobs. I reject your “leave it to the trusted experts.” If you believe that you have learned nothing from this. Thank you for responding though I genuinely appreciate your point of view. – Jim

I’m not arguing with you about this. You can read the Ivermectin studies. It would have been great if it was effective. Unfortunately it wasn’t.
As for the rest of it, you saw what you wanted to see in my post. “The experts” are not a monolith, and I was careful to point out that Fauci lied and tried to cover up the lab leak element.
Likewise, I made it a point to acknowledge the deplatforming and censorship. A friend of mine, one of the best investigative journalists in the country, was banned from Twitter just for posting her stories — in a major US newspaper, no less — looking into Ivermectin and other treatments. That was wrong, as was the deplatforming of physicians, virologists and immunologists who disagreed with the official line. Social media platforms, governments, presidential administrations and “disinformation review boards” are not the arbiters of truth, and in a case like this they’re not even staffed by people who are qualified to determine the truth.
My point was that none of us are qualified to say anything about the efficacy of drugs or the mechanisms of the virus either, because it takes years of intense schooling at the graduate level just to parse studies about that stuff, let alone offer meaningful critiques. We do have to rely on experts because it’s an extremely specialized field. That’s why it’s crucial for experts to be truthful and not to abuse trust.
When you use language like “plandemic,” cite Ivermectin as a legitimate treatment etc., you’re making it clear where your ideological sympathies are, as well as where you’re getting your information.
I would say the same thing to someone who thinks the world of Fauci, wore masks for three years and supports deplatforming. Politicizing a venuine pandemic causes nothing but problems, which is one reason why we lost 1.2 million Americans and struggled to cooperate on basic preventative measures that amounted to minor inconveniences.

I am glad you don’t want to argue. I stand by my statements.
