What’s a skill you consider basic, that most people don’t actually know how to do?
Listening. Not preparing what you are going to say next while the other person is talking. Asking yourself, “Why is this person saying this? What is motivating them? What are the emotions they are feeling? Do they want a solution or do they just want acknowledgement you have heard their feelings? Their frustrations? Their heart?”
