Do Mean people s-ck?

Mean people s-ck sounds to me like People being mean to mean people. Does hate solve hate? How does Jesus approach this?

Proverbs 1:7a (NASB95)
7a The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge;

Proverbs 8:13, 17 (NASB95)
13“The fear of the LORD is to hate evil;
17“I (wisdom) love those who love me; And those who diligently seek me will find me.

The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. And to fear the Lord is to hate evil. We don’t hate evil people, we hate evil. What is the difference? Evil hurts people. That’s why Jesus hates evil, because he loves people. Including evil people. Jesus wants evil people to stop doing evil. What is His plan to do that? He suffered the punishment of their evil and if they will turn from evil with His help He offers the evil doer forever with Him. Does that sound fair? Doing evil and going to heaven with Jesus? No, it is not fair. It is grace. Grace is God paying for and giving us what we don’t deserve. I’m glad He did that because I was/am an evil doer. God says that if I don’t treat others the way I would want to be treated just one time I am guilty of all sin. And I have treated many people badly many times.

I have needed and still need God’s grace.

How ’bout you?

I became Seriously Mentally Ill at age 18, ten years later I got and took the right meds, I accepted Jesus, and my recovery began.
