I am servant to my (servants). But I am learning the hard way.

I am a servant to my servants. Well, they are not really servants. They are my sons. And they mow the yard. And I pay them. But lately I’ve been convicted of HOW I pay them. Lately it has been – Late. Proverbs talks about paying your servants promptly. I have been paying when it’s convenient. I owe them each $20 for mowing the grass. I just need to drive to the ATM and get the money. And I will tomorrow. (It is 10:30 at night, not the best time to get money).

How did I get in this mess? I didn’t value my son’s need. He mowed the yard because he wanted the money, right then. And I did not remember that and my laziness and procrastination deceived me into thinking I can wait. And I waited and waited. It’s been two weeks. And I have told my sons previously that my goal is to follow God and pay promptly. How do you spell: Hypocrite?

Once again I will pay them 50% interest and penalties and give them each an extra $10 to show them I was wrong and really do want to value them and want them to feel valued.

My lesson: It is cheaper to follow God promptly ;>)

I became Seriously Mentally Ill at age 18, ten years later I got and took the right meds, I accepted Jesus, and my recovery began.
